"The children had a blast, and I've never been happier with a performer. You were quite inspirational, and I felt like a kid myself. Thanks again for being so fabulous!"

Moovin’ and Groovin’ with Su Eaton

This class is a creative arts class where we will be exploring together different materials such as cloth, glue, boxes, hula hoops, scarves, ribbons, balls, marbles, cars and animals and other lovely surprises, with our whole bodies or just our hands. This is a class for both adult and child to play together to create both improvisational images and movements and a chance to interact as a playmate. As an integrated creative arts educator and improvisational artist, with 31 years of experience, Su will be integrating music, movement, stories, art, games and improvisation.

Su uses a guitar and a hand drum and begins with a simple song that helps children warm-up their bodies and voices. She continues leading them through familiar songs and also teaches some new ones, sometimes changing the words to integrate loving, peaceful, cooperative, inclusive ways of being and to learn about other cultures. . The songs, games and books she chooses introduce the reading readiness concepts of letters, numbers, colors, shapes and body parts in a whole body way that is fun.
